About Nano Club

‘Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council’ (INIC) established the ‘Nano Club’ in 2008 to raise awareness about nano science and technology among students, vowing to sustain the training of skilled human resources for nanotechnology in Iran. Nano Club has been determined to supervise students in the process of continuous education, from learning the basics until creating knowledge-based business ideas. The development of research taste and teamwork sprit among students are also an objective in this process.

Our Activities

Network of Nanotechnology Educational Laboratories (TAVANA network)

Started in 2016, the contest is aimed to discover top talents among Iranian students in nanotechnology and also to promote the activities of TAVANA network. The production of nanofiber via electrospinning and fabrication of hydrophobic coatings were the themes of the contest over the last three years.

Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiad for Students

Iran is the first country in the world to conduct an annual nationwide nanoscience and nanotechnology Olympiad for students. The Nano Olympiad has been organized by Nano Club every year since 2009.

Zang-e-Nano’ magazine

Zang-e-Nano is a seasonal magazine focused on nanotechnology that has been published in Iran since 2009. The circulation has been 5000 in 2018 with primary distribution in high schools in the country and main target audience as high school students. The main contents of the magazine include nano-news of Iran and the world, interviews with distinguished nano-researchers, and introduction to nano-courses and nano-projects in Iran.

Student Festival for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

The festival established in 2011 to motivate students for research-based education and discover the top talents among students. The festival is organized annually, and students present their ideas in a competition through poster presentations.

TAVANMAND National Contest
